What is massage?
Massage is often defined as the assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the body in order to rehabilitate or improve physical function, or relieve pain within the body. Osteopathic massage is intended to address the whole body, to increase its vitality.
How does it work
We combine deep soft tissue massage with gentle joint mobilisation techniques to free restrictions within the joints and muscles. This treatment will stimulate blood flow throughout the entire body, relax tight muscles and loosen joints, helping to remove any blockage or restriction to the flow of blood, lymph or nerve.
What does it do?
- Improves blood flow throughout the body
- Improves lymphatic flow for enhanced immune response
- Improves nerve impulse transmission
How does it help?
Deep neuromuscular massage and osteopathic articulation are therapeutic techniques that we use at the Rêve Pavilion alone or in conjunction with other treatments, to assist in stimulating the healing mechanisms within the body. Moving the musculoskeletal system around while the patient remains completely passive can often do a great deal to help to resolve problems.
“I have been coming for treatment here since Mark first opened. Always feel better afterwards. Would not miss my 6-monthly M.O.T.!! Have recommended several friends to him for treatment over the years. Would not go anywhere else!! – G.S.-H.
